Obituary of Howard Rock

Passed away peacefully with his family at his side, on Wednesday November 27, 2013, at the Columbia Forest Nursing Home at the age of 86. Cherished and loving husband of Ruth Ann Rock nee Decker, who predeceased him in 2007. Howard will be deeply missed by his daughter-in-law Donna Rock, daughters; Debbie Karmaschek and husband Rick, Lori Preiss and husband Mark and Sandy Rollins and husband Matt. Beloved grandfather of Shannon (Rob), Michael (Anne), Donna (Joel), Brad (Jennah), Kristie (Chad), Erin (Greg), Jennifer (Bryan), Katie (Marko) and Nik (Julie). Great-grandfather to Braeden, Jack, Molly, Madeline, Charlotte, Sophie, Lilah, RJ, Riley, Reese and Ricki. Will be missed by his sisters Kay Connolly and Grace and her husband Ernie Harris, as well as many nieces and nephews. Howard is predeceased by his son Richard in April 2013, parents Fred and Martha nee Morenz, his sister Marjorie Rock, and grandson Jason Karmaschek. Special thanks to Dr. Vitou, the Reno Clinic Staff, and the staff at Columbia Forest Nursing Home. Friends and relatives are invited to share memories of Howard during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo, on Saturday November 30, 2013 from 2-4 p.m.. The memorial service to celebrate Howard's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday December 1, 2013 at 1p.m.. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room. Cremation has taken place.
