Obituary of Margaret Shortt

We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Peggy, who passed away at home on November 27, 2013 at the age of 63. Loving mother and best friend to Melanie (Scott) Ashman and Jennifer Schutz and beloved wife of the late John Shortt. Cherished grandmother to Jaiden, Kailen, and Reilynn Schutz and Sarah and Jacob Ashman. Devoted and caring sister to Randy (Shirley) Bowman, Bill (Gloria) Bowman, and Mervin (Christine) Bowman. Dear friend and former wife of Les Schmidkunz. Also fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and her many friends. Predeceased by her parents, Mervin (Rusty) and Marjorie Bowman. As per Peggy's request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 1:00p.m in the Funeral Home Chapel. Major Deborah Coles officiating. A light reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room. A private family inurnment will take place at Woodland Cemetery in the spring.
