Obituary of Amaraiya David
On November 28, 2013, at London Health Sciences Centre, our little angel entered into the arms of our Lord and Saviour at the age of 22 months.
Amaraiya will live forever in the hearts of those who love her, parents Craig and Debra David and big brother Jayden all of Kitchener, grandparents Ralph and Margaret David of Los Angeles and Gerard and Nora Alweyn and great-grandmother Tessie all of India, uncles and aunts, Fabian David (Shweta Singh), Michelle (Ian) Sandys, Jennifer (Desmond) Sandys, Conway (Lean) Alweyn as well as her godparents, aunt and uncle Sabrina (Don) Paynter and cousins Trevor (Brinell) Coelho. Amaraiya is also survived by several other cousins and relatives.
Amaraiya journeyed with her mother and grandmother through their own cancer treatments that they have recently completed. She always brought joy to patients as she accompanied her mother to treatments. Amaraiya was diagnosed with leukemia last month and passed away due to an infection she contracted during her treatment. She fought valiantly even when all the odds were stacked against her. She is the angel who brought strength to her mother and grandmother to overcome their illnesses.
Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Amaraiya with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 7:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony Daniel RC Church, 29 Midland Drive, Kitchener on Thursday, December 5 at 10:00 am. Reception to follow at the Parish Life Centre of the church. Cremation and interment will take place at a later date.
Condolences for the family and in lieu of flowers, donations to Childcan (an organization who supported Amaraiya and her family, as well as other families through childhood cancer) may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519.745.8445.
