Obituary of Helen Wagner
Passed away peacefully on February 15, 2014 surrounded by her family, at Luther Village, Waterloo.
She was born March 25, 1924 in Clinton and was the daughter of the late Norman and Mabel (Marshall) Miller. Beloved wife of Vernon Wagner who predeceased her in 1987. Lovingly remembered by her sons, John and his wife Linda of Baden, Doug and his wife Ruth of New Hamburg, and Keith of Waterloo. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Tracey Wagner-Rizvi, Teena (Murray) Snyder, Lisa (James) Neeb, Joanne (Trevor) Beattie and Carter Wagner, as well as 7 great-grandchildren; Amn, Ailia, Jackson, Aiden, Ryder, Mason, and Samuel. She is fondly remembered by Audrey Chung and Muddassir Rizvi. Dear sister of Pearl Needham and Frank Miller and sister-in-law of June Miller.
She was predeceased by her brother Ken, brother-in-law Bob Needham and sister-in-law Donna Miller.
Helen was a faithful member of First United Church, Waterloo and a long-time member of UCW. She and Vern farmed near Petersburg. In retirement she enjoyed many winters in Scottsdale, AZ and travelled to three other continents. Helen always took pleasure in having family together, making cross stitch quilts, knitting, bowling, and playing cards.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Helen with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, February 25 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9. Family committal service at Memory Gardens. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be in the chapel at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 26 at 11:00 am. with Pastor Kellie McComb officiating. Reception to follow.
