Obituary of Charles Gardner

Passed away at the Village of Winston Park, Kitchener on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, age 97. Husband of Marjorie May (nee Thompson) for 64 years. Father of Stephen (Lorrie) of Baden, David of Salem, and Mary (Paul) Krabbe of North Bay. Loving Grandpa of Jennifer, Andrea, Kelsey, Katherine and Andrew. Predeceased by his parents Henry Gardner and Lillie (nee Oliver), sisters Ruth Betney, Margaret Nowell and by brother David. Charles served as a Radar Technician in WW2 and was later employed as manager in the University of Waterloo machine shop. Charlie and Marj are long-time members of Grandview Baptist Church. Friends are invited to share their memories of Charlie with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday February 21, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home on Saturday February 22 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
