Obituary of Robert Ross Duke
Ross went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at St. Mary's General Hospital, in his 90th year.
Ross was a proud veteran of WWII serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was a member of the Temple Lodge A.F. and A.M. No 690 GRC Waterloo District. Ross was a long-time faithful member of Calvary Memorial United Church, Kitchener where he was a member of the True Friends Adult Sunday School. He was a volunteer at the K-W Seniors' Day Program. Ross was retired from Security Systems at the University of Waterloo.
Lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Wanda (nee Wolfe); his daughters, Cathy Aitken and Pauline Fitzgerald (Jerome); grandsons Phillip and Robert; niece Diane Weber (Tim); nephew Brian Barron (Cyndi); great-nephew Michael Weber; and great-nieces Kelly and Kerry Barron.
Predeceased by his parents, Harry and Elsie (nee Ashby) Duke; sister, Verna Barron (Alan); and his first wife, Lois (nee Sturgeon).
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, June 17 from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 18 from 12 noon until the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynne Bandy officiating. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Funeral Home's Fireside Reception Room.
