I send my deepest condolences to Mrs. Hancock's family. I can't call her Shirley as she will always be 'Mrs. Hancock', our kind neighbour, who took care of Cheri and me when we were little girls. So many memories of her and Mr. Hancock. I am saddened at her passing and thank you for sharing her with us.

We were neighbours of Shirley and Doug.
Shirley was the Brownie Leader and since both of our daughters Cheri and Michele both went to Brownies it was fitting that I should help out.
Since I was also a RN I could go to camp as the nurse. I thought' a cup of tea'. NOT.
We headed to Conestogo to the Brownie Camp to discover that it was overbooked so we ended up at another site which was south of Cambridge and it was an unused school house. No bunks, no this no that.
Then it was discovered that we had forgotten the box of food, had to go to the little store across the road in the morning to buy food before we had breakfast.
It was then I found out I also got to cook, help prepare crafts while the kids rested, help with crafts, go on hikes etc.
I can still recall Shirley's laugh when we discovered that we had forgot the food. ( I image we had some food)
Just one of the happy memories of Shirley.

I am very saddened to hear of Shirley's passing. After cleaning for her every week for 14 years, she had become very special to me. She will always hold a special place in my heart. I am really going to miss her.
