Obituary of William Engel

Passed away peacefully, at his residence Forest Heights LTC on the 14th of February, 2015 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Thompson), whom he married in 1960. Dear father of Jennifer and her husband Gary Baker, cherished grandfather of Jason Baker and his wife Melanie. Survived by his brother Donald of Woodstock, sister Ruth Kellam and her husband David of Stratford, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents William George Engel and Margaret Jane Alcock of Stratford, brother Robert Engel and his wife Loraine Engel of London, brother Malcolm in infancy, and Sister-in-law Barbara Engel of Woodstock. Bill was born in Stratford March 12, 1929 and lived in Waterloo for many years. Working at Sunar in Waterloo for 31 years, he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 49 years. We thank the staff at Forest Heights for their special care and social activities which Bill enjoyed. A Celebration of Bill's Life will take place on Sunday March 15, 2015 from 2-4pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530, 19 Regina Street North Waterloo. A private family interment has taken place. The family requests no flowers.
