MOSER, Evelyn Fern (nee Schlueter) Surrounded by her family, Evelyn went Home to be with our Lord, on Friday, May 1, 1998 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, age 74 years, after her second courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Clarence Moser, loving and caring mother of Rick Moser, Kathy Shaw and her husband Randy, all of Waterloo. Robert Janowski and his wife Pat of Kitchener, Judi Sykes and her husband David of Redwood Meadows AB and son-in-law, Alvin Martin of Elmira; dear grandmother of Kayla and Mathew Shaw, Sean Sykes, Jenn and Jill Janowski and Brian Martin; great grandmother of Tanya Martin. She will be sadly missed by sisters, Hazel Schneider and Edith Stroh, both of Waterloo, and by brother, Cecil Schlueter and his wife Helen of Kitchener. Mom has gone to Heaven to join the ranks among the angels with her daughter, Joan Martin and her parents, Catherine Voll and John Schlueter and also by her brother, Gordon Schlueter. Evelyn was a member of St. Louis RC Church and a past president and member of the Army and Navy and Airforce, Unit 247. She was well known for her warm smiles and contagious laugh and was often described as an exceptional person. She was an outstanding woman whose family always came first before her own needs. She enjoyed over 40 years of cottage life at Wasaga Beach where she acquired many lasting, close friendships. It was with family and friends that she enjoyed a friendly game of solo. In her final few months Evelyn enjoyed all who visited her and shared in her many happy memories. More than 30 years ago our Lord heard Mom's prayers and performed a miracle at the time of her first struggle with cancer; now she was called to go on a journey that will reunite her with her daughter and other family members in heaven with our Lord. The Moser family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Mass celebrating Evelyn's life will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 1998 in St. Louis RC Church at 10:30am with the Rev. Bob Liddy officiating. Interment to follow in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Parish Prayers were offered Sunday evening at 8:30 pm. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Canadian Cancer Society as expressions of sympathy. The Heavens will be glowing with a new bright star tonight and always. Mom you have always been and will always be our guardian angel.
