Obituary of Adam Pietraszko
Adam passed away peacefully at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the age of 85 years.
Beloved husband of the late: Marjorie Pietraszko for 66 years. Loving father of Linda Spencer (Maitland), Debbie Webb (Steve), Janice Whitteker Bellamy, and Annette Dietrich (Ray). Lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren, Stevie Spencer (Jen), Amy Spencer (Carl), Julie VanZuylen, Bradley Webb (Laura), Adam Webb (Melissa), Lisa Reinhart, Geoffrey Whitteker (Jamie), Emily Dietrich, Adam Dietrich; and ten great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Eva, Simon, Jordan, Ethan, Sara, Lucas, Megan, and Allie and "Daddy Adam" to many, especially Jay and Jeff Mclean. Also survived by his brothers Jas (Eileen) and Henry (Cecile) Pietraszko, and sister-in-law Isobelle Pietraszko.
Predeceased by his daughter, Julie Pietraszko; grandson, Scott Whitteker; son-in-law Jim Bellamy, parents Karl and Salome, brothers and sisters, Joe, Josephine Klatecki, Walter, Clara Psutka.
Adam worked as a meatcutter at HiWay Market from the opening to its closing as their longest standing employee. He was a founding member of St. Michael's Parish and long serving usher at the church. Adam enjoyed his Tuesday night Solo club for many years, his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs, channel 731, classic country music and his favourite yearly vacations to Niagara Falls with all of his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Adam during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's RC Church, 240 Hemlock St. (at University Ave.), Waterloo on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 10:30 am with the Rev. Cornelius J. O'Mahony as Celebrant. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
