Obituary of Vera Armstrong

Passed away July 23, 2015 at Emmanuel Village surrounded by her family. Beloved mother of Linda Baker and her husband Robert of Waterloo. Loving grandmother of Michael Yanke and his wife Heather, Christina Yanke (Patrick), Mike Baker and his wife Nancy and Karri Martinez. Great grandmother of Michaella, Chloe and Jayden Yanke, Abigail, Brianna, Josephine and Calandra Baker, Nicole and Katlyn Martinez, Connor Schnarr and many nieces and nephews. Thanks to the loving care of nurses and staff at Emmanuel Village, also wonderful friends Janice Mayhew and Pat Kirk. Mrs. Armstrong was predeceased by her parents Dr. Aubrey White Ingram and mother Jean Ingram and her sister Theo Lang (Art). Her first husband Lorne Chesney was killed in Italy in 1944 and her second husband William George predeceased in 2002. She was born in Imperial SK attended school and business college in Moose Jaw SK and University of Winnipeg MB. She worked for the Waterloo county school board of education for 17 years as school secretary. Cremation has taken place. An interment of cremated remains will take place on Wednesday at 11 am at Williamsburg Cemetery in Kitchener. Friends are invited to share their memories of Vera with her family during a celebration of life reception at the Fireside Room of Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday July 29, 2015 at 12 noon.
