Obituary of Ivan Volz

Passed peacefully into eternity to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 20, 2015, in his 100th year. Devoted husband of the late Midred Volz for 67 years; loved father of Paul and Nancy Volz; loving Papa of Jennifer Volz and Chris Shabatura and Candace and Nic Pascoe; Opa of Avery, Remy and Vincent and Lasetta. Ivan will also be fondly missed by all of Mildred's family. Predeceased by his brothers Milton and George and sisters, Wanda Delion, Viola Lantz and Irene Wettlaufer. Ivan was a long term member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and served in WWII for three years, much of the time stationed in the Aleutian Islands. The funeral service to celebrate Ivan's life and faith will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Annette Smith officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home. A private graveside committal will take place prior to the service.
