Obituary of Alice Dowsett

Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the age of 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Clifford, with whom she shared 34 years of marriage prior to his passing away in 1979. Loved mother of Bonnie. Remembered by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Predeceased by her sister Margaret and her brothers, Joe, Robert and Norman. Alice left Fort Frances in 1942 with her sister Margaret and came to Kitchener to work in the factories to support the war effort. Alice was a charter member of Glen Acres Baptist Church. She was a founding member of the Old Salts Seniors Canoe Club of Kitchener Waterloo. Friends are invited to share their memories of Alice with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Glen Acres Baptist Church, 223 Hartwood Ave, Waterloo on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow immediately in the church hall.
