I am sorry to hear of Dr. BIll's passing. We grew up beside his family home and as kids, we had many rousing card games with his dad, Uncle Jack.
Ironically our dad , John Schmidt, who is the same age as your dad, passed on July 18 th.
Your dad is related to our mother Dolores Lobsinger daughter of uncle Jack's brother, Phillip.
We know that Dr. BIll was a wonderful and kind man and want you to know that the Schmidt family is thinking of you at this time,

Dear Sheila and Family
On behalf of Irene and all of us in the Tangney Family (Jack, Joanne, Doug and Patty), we extend our sincere condolences. We have fond memories of Uncle Bill and the family get-togethers when we were small. Jack and Mary got to visit with you later years at the cottage in Amberly or Kincardine.
Mom took the news hard - she expressed that she would have loved to get to Toronto again, as we had 2 years ago but her health was too frail to tolerate the trip again - she has the pictures taken that special day on her bedside stand.
We want you all to know that you are in our prayers at this difficult time!
Mary Anne

Uncle Bill
Time and circumstance kept apart
my mother though always did impart
A gentle man, a warm heart
These things I’ve known from the start
His memory those closest held most dear
Affection shared was always clear
His love of family, blood or thought, I was always taught
A good and decent man
His influence generations did it span
His loss profoundly felt among his clan
Though saddened are we left behind, we are left a better kind
So let the tears and sadness come
But let not that be the final outcome
Free of suffering and from pain
Let us rejoice that he shall reign
High above with those most dear
He shall look down and see us here
Let our strength and our love be a light he can see so very far above.
Rest easy, Uncle Bill.
Your nephew,
Joshua D. Humphrey

I worked with Dr. Biill in Walkerton and he was always the easiest to get along with. He also saw me when my back went out and he was right about the eventual diagnosis. He will be missed by all of the nurses who were lucky enough to work with. Time to rest Doctor!
