To James' family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure and honour to work with James at DRDC for many years. He was such a wonderful, thoughtful, gentle-natured person that I looked up to and admired. He was one of those rare souls that truly had others’ best interests at heart. The lord has his reason for calling Jim home, but for all of us he is gone way too soon. I have no doubt that your mom and dad, grandma and grandpa are welcoming him with open arms. The rest of you, however, are left to struggle with the difficult loss. May the care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead. TO JIM You will be missed, my dear cousin. Though we did not see each other often as adults, I will forever cherish the childhood memories of hockey games and other antics in the barn and the laughter that rang out loudly. To James' family, I am so sorry for your loss. James was a lovely colleague to work with, and I had the pleasure to work with him over the years at the Toronto Research Centre in different capacities. He was one of the most gentle-natured people I've ever known. A few years ago he shared with me a video of some of his music, and I was so impressed by his multiple talents! Your family, and Canadian defence science, just lost a star. Please accept my deepest condolences.
