I shall always remember what a fun grade 13 math teacher Ross was. I was in his algebra class at Northview and later I taught math myself at Earl Haig until I retired 15 years ago. He loved teaching math and so did I. A gentle man indeed.

Ross Honsberger was by far the best math teacher I have known. His love of mathematics was infectious. His presentations were incredibly entertaining. I not only learned a great deal of mathematics from him personally and from his books, I also learned a great deal about teaching mathematics. My sincere condolences. He will be greatly missed. Ross was a fine teacher, and a joy to work with. His enthusiasm and joyful demonstrations of mathematics inspired both students and other teachers for many years here at UW.
