Obituary of Ross Honsberger

Went to be with his loved ones on April 3, 2016, in his 87th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Nancy (2010), son Richard (2008) and daughter Leslie (2010). Fondly remembered by his daughter Sandy (Alfred), grandchildren Amory (Terese), Kevin (Adjadene) and Melanie (Matthew); as well seven great-grandchildren; and neice Karen (Ron). Ross will also be missed by Sabina, Sadie, Allan and Norman. Ross touched many lives through his love of mathematics, writing, music, sports, and dogs. He also encouraged these passions in others over the years. A Memorial Reception to celebrate Ross's life will be held in the Kuntz House of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 2 to 5 p.m. Condolences for the family and donations to the Parkinson's Society or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445. Many thanks from the family to friends who visited, phoned and emailed in the last year. Special thanks to Jim, who gave endless support and friendship to Ross. Appreciation also to the staff at Beechwood Manor, the Cancer Centre and CCAC. Doctors Bruce, Graczyk and Yew gave generously of their time and expertise, and their professionalism and care were mentioned by Ross. Dad spoke of his gratitude for a life filled with doing the things he loved. He knew his life was blessed, and now he begins a new chapter in eternity.
