Obituary of Clare Johnston

Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener on Monday June 13, 2016 at the age of 91. Survived by his loving wife Lois Johnston (nee Taggart), for 66 years. Dear father of Jeff (Karen) of Florida, Earle (Carol) of Florida and Greg (Angela) of London. Will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Chris (Kelly), Mike (Katie), Meagan and Taylor (Summer), and a very special great-grandchild Georgia Clare Johnston. Clare proudly served in World War 2 with the RCAF. Clare was a long time parishioner of St. Mary's RC Church, Kitchener. During Clare's working years he established himself as a Chartered Accountant in the K-W region and actively volunteered for the K-W CNIB and St Agatha's Childrens Village. Friends are invited to share their memories of Clare with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday June 16, 2016 with Parish Prayers being offered at 1:45 p.m. and the visitation commencing from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's RC Church, 56 Duke St. W., Kitchener on Friday June 17, 2016 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. George Nowak, C.R. as Celebrant. A private family interment will follow at a later date.
