<h1>Evelyn Vail</h1> 1919 - 2008 Evelyn passed away, after a brief illness, with her family at her side, at St. Mary’s General Hospital, in Kitchener, on Monday, August 18, 2008, at the age of 89. Predeceased by her husband, George Vail in 1971; grandson, Scott Wilson in 1985; parents, Edward and Cecilia Smith; and brother, Leslie Smith. Loving mother of Carol Wilson and her husband John (Jack) of Kitchener, and devout grandmother of Christopher Wilson (husband Paul Poulin, great-granddaughter Lindsay Bell) of Toronto. Evelyn will be missed by her nieces, nephews, friends, and her very special friend “Uncle” John Pearson (honorary grandfather) of Oakville. Evelyn was a member of St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Niagara-on-the-Lake and a member of the Anglican Church Women. She was an incredible woman of character who always led by example, and a grandmother to all. Eternally the lady, she was honest, deeply kind, trustworthy, and enjoyed mashed potatoes, jellybeans and licorice all-sorts. Visitation will be held at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Wednesday, August 20 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Evelyn’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Interment will take place later on August 21 at the Lakeshore Cemetery in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
