Obituary of Marguerite Brooke
Passed away peacefully at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on Thursday March 3, 2011 at the age of 90.
Predeceased by her husbands Kenneth Partdidge QC (1958) and J. Fred Brooke (1990). Survived by Fred's son Keith Brooke (Marie) and their two children as well as several nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her sister Jean Charlton and her brother John Stephen Prebble.
Music was the love of her life having sung at Massey Hall and as part of numerous choirs. Marguerite was a long time patron and supporter of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra. She was a faithful member of Trinity United Church. Marguerite was a past president of the Garden Club of Kitchener Waterloo and the Garden Clubs of Ontario and for the last 23 years was archivist of GCO.
Honoring Marguerite's personal wishes cremation has taken place.
Friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Marguerite's life on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11am at Trinity United Church, 74 Frederick St., Kitchener. Reception to follow. Interment at Brampton Cemetery.
