Obituary of Lilian Griffin

September 6, 1907 - March 17, 2011 Peacefully passed away at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener in her 104th year. Predeceased by her husband William T. Griffin, and her sister Eileen Alexander. She leaves to mourn her nieces, Frances Burns (Neill) of Barrie, Ontario, Carole Griffin Giambattisto (Joseph deceased) of Montreal, Quebec, Jean Mitchell (Fred), and her nephew Jim Matt (Shirley) all of Pefferlaw, Ontario, and many more nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her adopted family, Gary and Kathy Durst and their children Corey and Emily and all the other adopted children who have always considered her to be their "Great Grandma", and also by her many close friends who came to know her over the years since moving to Waterloo from Beaverton, Ontario. Friends are invited to visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 3:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Louis R.C. Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo with Rev. Bernie Hayes CR as Celebrant. Interment in St. Anthony's R.C. Cemetery, Virginia, Ontario.
