Jim started out as our vet and soon became our dear friend. We met Dr. Currie over 30 years ago when we were newly wed and new to KW. (I thought we had found our very own James Herriot.) Jim will be remembered with great affection. Jane, I remember your Dad bringing you to the house when you were on school break. He was a wonderful man. We send our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Patricia and Rand McIntyre

Dear Carole and Family, My deepest sympathy to all of you. I was fortunate to share in some very happy times in your lives. Carole, I have fond memories of the day you and Jim were married here at the chapel. Jane, I also remember, more recently the day your father walked you down the aisle. I feel blessed to have been a part of these joyous occasions in your lives and now mourn with you and share your loss. Most Sincerely, Pat Fretwell - City Hall Wedding Chapels

Dear Carol and Family Our sincerest sympathy to all of you at this difficult time. May your memories of Jim be a comfort to you during these sad days. Our thoughts are with each of you in your sorrow. Hugh and I have some wonderful memories of Jim. Hugh and Jim used to enjoy trading stories about some of their clients. Not all clients were great and some of them were really funny. We are sorry not to be able to be with you at this time but Shirley is recuperating from knee replacement surgery. Thinking of you with love. Sincerely, Shirley and Hugh Black

Dear Carol and family, We are deeply saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. He was our treasured friend and vet for over 28 years. Jim and I first met him in 1973 just after our marriage, when he was still with Buck’s. Over the years he was a regular visitor to our home as we cared for many cats, dogs, degus, chinchillas etc. etc.! Deardre always looked forward to his visits and grew up sharing stories about animals I still miss having a cup of tea with Jim after the shots and checkups were complete. Many thanks to you too, Carol, for your patience and understanding when I called with an emergency. Your calm understanding was very much appreciated in stressful moments. You both were very important people in our lives and will be remembered with great affection. We send our kindest thoughts and deepest condolences to you and the family. Colleen, Jim and Deardre Johnstone
