Tim,
I have known Heidi for roughly 6 years and am truly going to miss our time together. I was her hairstylist and saw her just about every 6 weeks if not sooner as Heidi hated her bangs being to long. Typically by week 3 I would receive a lovely message saying "Oh hi Ash it's Heidi, sorry to bother you but if I could pop in for a brief minute, only if you have time to just trim my bangs ever so slightly I would really appreciate it". Heidi's sweet voice was always a delight for me.
Over the years Heidi and I have had many many many conversation's, as most ladies do with their stylist:). It's a wonderful job for me when it becomes like talking to your friends all day. Heidi would tell me about vacations or home decorating projects, but the majority of our conversations centered on her love for family, especially Tim.
Tim she was so proud of all You accomplished; especially when you were on the Lions den. I recall Heidi coming into the salon sharing with all of us how we needed to jump on board with this great idea. Heidi's story is an inspiration to myself and many others.
I would like to leave this quote for Heidi's family & friends:
"We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them... as they prepared for their journey and waved good-bye and slipped the surly bonds of earth to touch the face of God."
I am so sorry to hear about your loss but remember that it's not good-bye but see you later!

To the Wallis Family: I was greatly saddened today hearing the news of Heidi's passing. My son, Ryan was a 'student' of Heidi's and was and still is his favourite speech pathologist that he's had in his 11 years of age. I know I don't need to tell you this, but she was SUCH a compassionate person with a true love of children. I had contacted her a few months back to see if she was taking on any new clients. Sadly I didn't realize that her time here was getting short. My sincerest condolences on losing one of life's special people. She won't be forgotten in my home. Sincerely, Sandra Enns Ayr, Ontario

She was my best friend until we moved away at the end of grade 3, and she will always share a special place in my heart. I so enjoyed working with Heidi over the years at the Cambridge site. She was such a kind and gentle soul. She was an effective leader and popular therapist with kids, families and staff. Dear Tim, I don't know that I have ever met a more kind and gentle soul. Heidi was a wonderful friend and companion and I will always treasure the times we shared. Even when she wasn't well, not once did the feeling of hope ever leave. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I shall miss her so very much.
