Vern was one of the kindest, gentlest men we ever knew. A great power of example to men and women everywhere. Vern and Lillian were one of our favorite couples. They showed us powerful examples of love in so many ways. Lillian was so spunky and full of zest! We will miss them dearly. Our prayers are with their family. Vern was a very special person who will be missed by all who knew him. I was lucky enough to be hired into The Oxford County Board of Education by Vern and had the pleasure of working with him for over four years, until his retirement in November, 1994. I have always had great respect for Vern. My sincerest condolences to your family.
