I will remember Rev. Stanfel as warm-hearted, jovial, optimistic, devout, humble, energetic and focussed on achieving his goals and objectives. Even more, I will remember him as a staunch advocate of traditional, conservative Lutheran values and ideals. I recognize that among many he will be honoured as a defender of the faith as they interpret it. Please accept my heartfelt condolences in your time of loss.

Dear Stanfel family: I did not have the honor of knowing Rev. Dr. Stanfel, but his father and my great-grandmother were siblings, and I came across his name and accomplishments while doing genealogical work. He seems like he was a wonderful, dedicated man of God and a truly inspirational person. Please accept my condolences on his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of a Dear Father and Grandfather and a Good Friend. Will always remember those early days in the little Hope Church at the corner of Ottawa Street and River Road and the friendship and fun at the Stanfel household.
