Obituary of Craig Schumacher

SCHUMACHER, Craig Steven Loving husband of Laurie and beloved father of Cory and Eric, passed away, as a result of a heart attack, at St. Mary's General Hospital on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the age of 46. Besides his loving wife and sons, Craig is survived by his parents William (Bill) and Arlene Schumacher and his father-in-law Lloyd Dorscht (Carol Freiburger) all of Waterloo. Predeceased by his mother-in-law Sharon Dorscht. Craig will be remembered by his brothers and their families, Brad (Robin) Schumacher and children Jennifer and Emily, Dale (Debbie) Schumacher and children Laura (Bruno) and Carolynn Poulos, Deborah Lee (Steve) Loveman, sisters-in-law; Linda (Harry) Dietrich and children Randi and Candice Krysko, Dallas, Carrie and Josh Dietrich, Amber (Josh) Gualtieri, Debbie (Jeff) Sauder and children Justin and Ashley, and brother-in-law Jason Dorscht as well as his godmother Marlene Shore of Goderich and godfather Oscar Noll (predeceased) as well as many aunts, uncles and other relatives. Craig's love of life and sense of humour will be cherished by all who knew him. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses of St. Mary's Hospital I.C.U. for their excellent care and concern during such a difficult time. Friends are invited to share their memories of Craig with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:30 am. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Cremation and a private family interment will take place at a later date.
