Dear Bob, My parents were Tommy and Florence Thompson who were great friends and apparently distant relatives of Beulah and your Dad. The Wilkins family were often visited by us - we lived not too far away and would meet my Mom there after school and would have to play the piano for your grandmother! I have many fond memories and I wanted to pass my sympathy to you and your family. Beulah always spoke so proudly of you. Sincerely, Mary Jane

It is uncanny that only yesterday I sat in Collingwood Ontario at a conference with a group of nurses and Miss Wilkins name came up. Like the others I had trained at then Kitchener Waterloo Hospital. As a young girl just out of high school I will never forget my first day of clinical at Scott Pavillion where Miss Wilkins was the Head Nurse. She was a role model, professional and taught us the basics of caring for others. That was 30 years ago and I still remember her as an influence to the type of nurse I am today. I saw her obituary in today's London Free Press and wanted to express my sympathy in your loss. Jan Stone-Shkilnyk

Dear Bob and Family, Sorry to hear of the loss of your Aunt. We couldn't have asked for a better neighbour for all those years. We always enjoyed chatting with Beulah. Sometimes she would talk about the weather, her nursing days, or trips she had taken. She would also talk of all of you "my family" she would say. You could see her eyes light up as she spoke with pride and love. We are sorry that we are unable to attend her funeral today. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
