I remember going to Horseneck Beach with Phil and Rodney, his dog. It was necessary to have Rodney because Phil would bury his grill and umbrella in the sand and only Rodney, with his nose for old burnt lamb chops, could find the grill and dig it up from shifting sands. Those were good days and I am sorry they will never be duplicated.

Richard and I extend our sympathy to Frank's family. We were neighbours at Lurgan Beach and fondly remember Frank's various interests that brought him to the sandy beach to search for interesting stones and into his backyard to search for spectacular insects. We can still picture the warm light in the middle of the darkness letting us know that Frank was at work again. It was always a joy to hear his stories and learn from his various experiences. Dear Margaret, Holly, Gord, David and families, we're so sorry to learn of Frank's passing. We all have fond memories of Frank, whether it's doing something interesting or just kicking back at the cottage with a beer. I know that my father had a great deal of respect and affection for Frank, valuing him as a neighbour at Lurgan and also as a colleague at BF Goodrich. From nights collecting insects under UV lamps to pouring over interesting rocks at Lurgan Beach, his interest in natural history was a big part of my childhood and one of the reasons I went into biology.
