Eileen was a wonderful lady and was always so full of life. Whenever she entered a room it was lit up by her warm personality, particularly her humor. She will be greatly missed by the Moore family in Calgary.

We have such wonderful memories of Eileen to treasure for our lifetimes and feel so blessed to have known her so well and for so long. My earliest memories are of her shoulder shaking laugh and her complete enjoyment of being in the moment. Eileen was the best multi-tasker in the world and by the time she had made you a meal or a drink she would know everything there was to know about our lives, who was doing what and thrilled that we were all happy and well. We will truly miss our special Aunt. We send you all our condolences and love,

Growing up with Marty and Bob in Burlington I saw a lot of Eileen in my youth. She was a mother not only to her own six children but to her children's friends at times. I couldn't help but feel her presence even when Eileen was not in the same room. Her guiding presence reached beyond her home into the fields, tree forts and barn explorations of our youth... what would your mom think? She was and is the Rock of Moore.

Every memory I have of Auntie Eileen has her laughter in it. Early memories of family events in Calgary, she was laughing with the adults but always connected with the children. I was so impressed with my most recent visit with her as she laughed and joked while swinging her oxygen tube like a lariat. My deepest condolences to all the family. Love, Terry

My deepest condolences to you all for your loss. Eileen was a very special person, great mother and friend to all. Dinner at your Mom’s house was always an event that I looked forward to especially on the occasions when my Dad was with me. Great food, fun conversations in the kitchen and of course playing cards after dinner. I never could keep up with your Dad, he always had my cards counted before I even looked at them. (He would always say to me no talking, serious card playing only) of course your Mom never minded the conversations Mary and I would come up with. I have many more stories however no time to tell them all. I will cherish all the times I had with your Mom and feel fortunate to have known her. You are in my thoughts and prayers and may God bless you all during this time and always. Love Anne

I never went to the Moore household in the eighties for a traditional Pre- Saturday night disco hunt dinner with Marty without Eileen offering a shot of Johnny Walker Red and a lot of great laughs. (these hunts were largely unsuccessful I might add as Marty dances like a Gorilla that just had a collar bone operation and I was guilty by association).
As Marty and I were usually close to leaving on our "hunting" sojourn, Dick would usually have the following speech for us...." You guys should both go home and get some rest and come with me to 10 O'clock mass with me in the morning. You will see more beautiful women there your age than at the disco and they will be really nice girls."
Neither Marty nor I took this advice and hence the childless godless state we both endure today.

Our deepest condolences to the whole family! We'll send up some heartfelt prayers for Eileen and the family! Seems wierd to think of this world without "Dick-the-stick" & "Great Eileen"! (Dick told me those were their "real names"!) Wish we could be there with you to celebrate her wonderful life, but know that we're there with you in spirit! All the best! Nancy
