Mr. Gladwell did the children’s time at church when I was very small. I don’t remember very much, but he made enough of an impact on my very young mind that to this day I still think of him from time to time. Sad to hear of his passing. Love to his family and thank you.

Dear Mrs Gladwell; I just read about Dr Gladwell death. I was his graduate student at Univ of waterloo from 1969-1971.I had visited you and your family several times in Elmira where you lived at that time.I know you were a great west indian author. Dearest Joyce, Our family was very saddened to hear to of Graham's passing. Our children will always remember him as "the nice man with the twinkly eyes and cool accent" that sat behind us in church. We all fondly remember eating fresh strawberries at your house and Graham showing us his amazing gardens. We will always cherish his humour, wit, and passionate faith. Dear Joyce and the Gladwell family, Pam and I were saddened to learn of Graham’s passing. We send our heartfelt condolences to you and your precious family. When I think back to the wonderful days at the University of Waterloo and the Solid Mechanics Division, Professor Gladwell was a large part of those days. I had the good fortune to be taught by him in several undergraduate and graduate courses, and I appreciated all of them. I remember an occasion when he invited a group of graduate students and colleagues and other friends to your house, surrounded by farm fields and including an English rock garden that Graham was pleased to show us, describing several of the important plants and features. Our children very much enjoyed walking across the field to look at a horse that walked over to the fence to return the favor. I think there was also a trip to a pond to skip stones. We are thankful for the memories and will always remember Graham, Professor Gladwell. Sincerely, Brent and Pam Hall.

Dear Joyce and all of the Gladwell family, It is with great sadness that I learned today, via the internet of Graham's passing. I know our family has fond memories of Graham both for his assistance to Susan and Sarah as they navigated their early days at the University of Waterloo and for the friendly chats/visits you had with my parents.
