Dear Reta,
Lyle and you were such good friends of my Mom and Dad and me. I have such good memories of Milverton and the Band and Fair Days back at my Mom and Dad's house. I have discovered Memories are wonderful things.
My first job was with Dominion Life. I guess I didn't realize Lyle worked there and one day he was standing beside my desk. The whole underwriting department knew Lyle was my friend from that moment on.
I am so grateful to Joan Coxon who phoned this evening to tell me of Lyle's passing.
Joe and I were so lucky to have known Lyle.
Sherrin and Joe Detzler.

Lyle, along with Reta, was the first friend my son, Kai, then 8 months, and I got after moving to Waterloo from Mississauga. When I was feeling insecure, being a first-time mom in a new place, Lyle and Reta gave me so much support beyond my words. Every time Lyle said "That's my boy!" to Kai, my heart was filled with so much love. Both Lyle and Reta simply looked after and cared for Kai and me in those days that could have been lonely otherwise. Thank you, Lyle. I could never express it enough. - Chie
When we were still at Dietz Ave., I remember Lyle had found an old bike, that became Kai's first bike. Or going across the street for Trick Or Treating with Kai and later also with our daughter, Saya, even after we moved, or just going over for a little chat. Lyle (and Reta) always looked after us, and keeping the friendship with them that started out as neighbors across the street will always be special to us. - Mike
Our deepest sympathy to Reta and family. We'll miss you, Lyle, and you'll be in our hearts forever.
