When I close my eyes and think of Mark I immediately think of his voice/laugh, it was very distinguished and memorable. Mark was my older, 'cool' cousin and I remember once in Elmira, him and my 'cool' older brother, Scott, let me join them on a walk to the store. We ended up running into some of Mark's friends and he introduced me. I was on cloud nine just because they let me hangout with them, haha. I also remember once Mark and Scott showing up after I had gotten home from the market. I told them I got pepperoni sticks but didnt realize they were extra spicy. Mark took one bite, turned bright red and spit it out, waiving his hand in front of his tongue to cool down. I ran into the house and grabbed him the koolaid in the fridge and he jugged the entire thing. I thought he may kill me but instead he and Scott laughed their faces off at the wimpy reaction he had (I was extremely relieved! Didnt want these cool dudes hating me). I also remember Mark coming to visit me at the bank one day. He was wearing a black leather coat and all the ladies were intrigued to find out who this good looking guy in my office was. I was proud to tell them he was my cousin :) Thinking of you lots, Mark. Rest in peace

Mark was a great friend. He was the type of guy who would do anything for those close to him. You could call on him any time day or night and he would be there no questions asked.
Mark and I met in Mrs Fures grade 9 keyboarding class. We caused that poor woman so much grief (when we showed up for class!)
Mark and I remained close all throughout high school skipping many classes to drive around in his Chevrolet Corsica or my Chevy Beretta. We would hang out at Champs, KFC and countless hours in the smoke hole outside EDSS.
After high school Mark went into the construction trade and I went into Automotive. Careers we both stayed in to this day. Not seeing as much of each other but still staying in touch.
One of the many reasons I believe Mark was so successful in his career was his no Bull get'er done attitude. I remember when he helped me build my deck at our house in Elmira, or more like I helped him build my deck! He had everything planned out perfectly right down to the last deck screw. He and I augured out 6 massive holes for the cement forms. I thought I was going to pass out multiple times. He said "come on let's go! We're loosing daylight wussy! I want this done before I leave tonight!" Needless to say we completed the deck in a weekend. And I swear that structure he built will outlast the house it was so well made. Strong and Determined that was Mark.
For those who knew him best I think we can all agree that having Carson was the best thing that ever happened to him. The Love and Adoration he had for that boy is something I can't even put into words. Every time we would get together he would share updates about him show me pictures from Hockey or other activities they were involved in. He would tell me in detail about their last day or weekend they spent together and he'd always say how much he was looking forward to their next time together. He was the type of father all of us should strive to become. And Carson was so blessed to have him in his life for this short period of time.
My definition of a true friend is no matter the time that lapses between your last visit weather it be weeks, months or even years, when you see that person again it was like you were just with them yesterday. You pick up right where you left off the last time you spoke without missing a beat. That was Mark and I without a doubt.
Thank you my Friend for all the great times and memories I'll never forget. You will be truly missed. Rest in Peace.
