Obituary of Mark Wayne DeVries
With a heavy heart, we said good-bye this morning to our 37 year old daddy, son, brother, and friend Mark DeVries. Mark was a smart, hard-working, strong, handsome man with a killer smile and big belly laugh. Mark worked hard in construction and had a lot of body pain... he was taking Tylenol for body pain which built to a toxic level in his liver over the course of only 3 weeks. A young, handsome, strong man played with his son, went to work on Wednesday and began to feel unwell. Tell everyone you know the dangers of Tylenol. Mark beat all the odds, and fought a valiant battle that all others said should have been over on Thursday... He had so many reasons to live and gave it his all living well beyond what anyone expected. Mark was brave, strong, family oriented and loving. Above all else, he was Carson's daddy. Each conversation began with Mark showing pics of Carson on his phone and funny stories about the things they had done together. He lived for his son and drew strength from their bond. Mark was an amazing son and brother, who would be there to help you at the drop of a hat. Our lives are forever changed and we are all better people for having known and loved you Mark. Mark's spirit lives on in his amazing son Carson. We love you forever and always, and miss you already. Rest in peace Markie. April 23, 1980- January 15, 2018.

Mark will live on in Carson and we know it will mean so much to him to hear how much people loved his daddy and how much he meant to all of us.
