With my St. john Ambulance Therapy dog we had many visits with our most special Trudy. She always had a special doggie treat for Buffy. I loved the stories of her family life in the Ukraine-Russia and loved her lovely necklace and the home she created with beautiful things in her small apartment. We had many quiet talks that I will remember. There was such a wonderful connection and feeling that I had each time I left. Much earlier, as a school secretary, had met Marlene her nurse friend, and later heard of their close friendship and trips to Europe and Russia. I was sad for her when Marlene died suddenly. Her little coloured curl each time she had her hair done and then her new black/white smart eyeglasses showed she had such a fun spirit still. It will not be the same down that long hall at Seaforth as we will all miss such a lovely dear lady!

I will remember Trudy's large smile and bold laugh. She was a kind and caring friend to my Mom and Dad ( Fred and Ingrid Neufeld) for more than 50 years. Trudy was a careful listener who let you know she truly cared. She will be missed. My condolences to the family at this time. May your memories of Trudy be a comfort to you.

Dear Paul and Ruth, I was sorry to read this morning of Trudy's passing. She and I worked together briefly at Sunshine Waterloo Co. right after we graduated high school, and it has always been a pleasant interaction whenever we met throughout the years since. She certainly was a lovely lady and will be missed by the many who enjoyed her cuddles, care and concern. I worked with Trudy for 15 years at Canada Immigration Centre. She was a friend and my boss. We had many good times together. I only wish I would have kept in touch with her these past years. Rest in Peace my friend. Janet

I got to know Trudy when she came to live at the Seaforth Manor Retirement home. When she first arrived, my father said we have someone new, told me her name was Trudy. The next day he told me that she was great friends with Marlene Roberton. I spoke to Trudy that day and told her I knew her long before I met her. Marlene always spoke of her friend, and the adventures they had. After Marlene and my Father passed away, I visited with Trudy more and we also became friends. She was kind enough to invite me to the Xmas Dinner as well as the picnic in the summer. She was one of the nicest seniors that I have spend time with. Will always remember her as a fun, smart and some times quirky friend, that loved to put twists of green and red in her hair for xmas, and other colors for whatever the holiday was. I will miss my visits with this fine lady, and wish to express my sympathy to you all.
