Obituary of Trudy Klassen

Trudy passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Seaforth Hospital at the age of 85 years.

Sister of Paul and his wife Ruth Klassen and predeceased by her brother John and his wife Joan Klassen.

Loving aunt of Elizabeth and Richard, Ronald, Moss and Dale, Charles, Karen and Jim, Elizabeth and Gerry, Peter and Katie, Ruth-Ann and Rick; great aunt of Jocelyn and Henry, Nick and Denisse, Cait and Argir, Colin, Owen and Paige, Hayley and Richard, Annalisa and Jacob, John, Chris and Jill, Joel and Danielle, Matthew and Leah, Nathan, Ben, Jonathan and great-great aunt of Rowan and Maya.

Trudy was a special aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed keeping up with their adventures and accomplishments, living vicariously through each of their lives. Trudy was an avid reader and was the queen of any card or board game. She was willing and very able to take on all challengers. Her life values were demonstrated in her career at Immigration Canada, her love for curling, both as an active player and as an armchair critic and she actively volunteered in her church and wider community.

Trudy’s family will receive friends and relatives at W-K United Mennonite Church, 15 George St., Waterloo on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 10 a.m.- 11:15 a.m. The memorial service to celebrate her life and faith will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Reception will follow in the church hall.

Cremation has taken place and an interment will be held in Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.
