Obituary of Fran Wouters

Passed away at her home at University Gates in Waterloo on February 20, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Loving and devoted wife of the late Jack Wouters. Dear mother of Mary Ann Meier (Oscar) of Waterloo, Karen Nyenhuis (Paul), and Terry (Karen) of London. Dear Oma of Ryan, Jeffrey, Jessica (Kris), Chris (Imke), Mark, Jacqueline, and Sarah. Great Oma of Declan. Fondly remembered by her brother Jack (Bertia) and sisters Mein & Reit. Fran was also predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters and other family members.

Frances was the youngest of 14 children, born in Eindthoven, Holland, to Katrina Maria and Peteris Speek. She married the love of her life, Jack, in 1957 and immigrated to Canada, to start their new life together. She was a loving, proud and hardworking individual, who always held her family close in her heart. She loved sewing and baking and was known by her family and friends to make the best cream puffs. Sadly, she took her last breath with her family at her side. We love you dearly and there will be an empty place in our hearts. We would like to thank our University Gates family, who’s care and support of Mom and our family, was so amazing and appreciated. Mom loved you all.  

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo from 9:30 to 10:15 am. A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation has already taken place.
