To Mary's family,
I just want to say how sorry I was to see Mary had passed away. I was Mary's companion aide for 2 1/2 years with Warm Embrace Elder Care. She was a beautiful and kind lady and I enjoyed my time with her, every Thursday morning. We shared some great conversations and great laughs. I will miss her very much.
Sincerely,
Yvonne Kurtz

I can not begin to express how sorry I am at the passing of your Mom and my friend.
She and I spoke at least once a week on the phone, enjoyed going to the Center in the Square, when we were both more mobile. We laughed alot.
She was very private but she loved to brag about accomplishments.
Thankyou Gord for calling me, I am greatful for the call.
I am sorry I won't be going but I am just getting over this flu myself and am not strong enough yet, but you will be in my thoughts. I loved your Mom, she was one of my dearest friends and I will miss her and that laugh the rest of my life

MaryG, as we very fondly called her, has been a very dear friend for many years (from the early College years). She was a grand lady, enjoyed beer or a martini (often laughed about the two, opposites), colourful and beautiful dresses, jewellery,
lipstick, nail polish, through to the decor in her home, and indeed, the loveseat she had recovered last year in a shade "sort of" lime green!
She was incredibly sharp right up to her fall Thanksgiving weekend; reading about 12 library books over two weeks, the New York crossword puzzle which is incredibly difficult along with other puzzles, still tearing out tricky recipes even though she was not really cooking much (lol).
Bernie and I are very sorry we cannot be there, but we are in Florida for the winter. And as Lori said the other day, we were angels to her over the years when it mattered. MaryG did call me her "guardian angel" which always made me laugh, because the last thing my other friends would call me is an "angel"! And John I know you called me your "sister" sort of from time to time, maybe when the fresh rhubarb pie or peach pie arrived for you and your mom, or we acknowledged your birthday.
This grand lady will be missed, but lots of great memories. It has been a privilege for Bernie and I to have known her these many years. We have chatted about her lots these days, have toasted her, and will certainly toast her this Friday.
Take care Lori, John and Dawn, and your families.
Linda & Bernie
