Thinking of all of you as you grieve Aunt Rita's passing. She was always a welcoming soul, and accepting of people. I will always remember her laugh. She was a treasure.

To all the Roach family - I am very sorry to hear of Rita's death. How well I remember the good times we, Archie Aitken and I, had with our co-workers and friends, always including Ed & Rita, from the maintenance department at WLU. Ed, Archie and Arnie were such good friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.

I will always remember the happy, smiling face of Aunt Rita from days of early childhood. Hers was the first wedding I remember attending -in the big yard on Blucher Street and how she loved to joke around with Dick. He left her his last time promising to bring her a nice cold beer .
Now they can kick up their heels together in Heaven.
My love and hugs to all her family. marilyn

I am with you, all my family . . . Aunt Rita's and all the rest of the of us as I echo Jack's memory of good times with all of you in K-W, Kilaloo, on Spring St., Sheldon Ave. Dietz Ave or the farm house or wherever! The dancing, laughing, playing cards, eating and loving being together were all treasures. Even in bed I used to enjoy hearing the adults' laughter as they played cards.
What a long, blessed life Aunt Rita had, giving her best. She and Hank really showed their love in being with Don throughout all the ups and downs of his illness and death. She sorted through her fears and feelings so honestly, stretched her understanding and moved forward with courage. I always admired how she and Hank learned to use public transportation going to Toronto and traveling through the city. She came to trust her deep love for Don and that God loved him even more than she did. And she did this publicly when she and Sandra made a patch for the Memory Quilt and talked about it on television. Of course I remember so many, many good times with your family, with all the Missere family.
Please catch a global hug from from around the world, in South Sudan. For four months I'm in a very remote area of the country, living extremely simply. I miss being with you all in this special time of bidding farewell and celebrating Aunt Rita's being at home with God and all in heaven. I picture that Jesus let Ed and Hank, Pat , Bob and Don, Grandma and our family in heaven so delighted to welcome her and take her to God!!!
Much love for you and everyone there!

Some of my most precious childhood memories are of the Missere family gatherings, at Roach's and Musclow's or the cottage, with dancing and good fun. Uncle Ed Roach danced the "schateese" - can't find it on SpellChek. Playing cards - pounding the table with the last trump! Eating delicious meals. Everyone together.
Aunt Rita was my Godmother and I had the privilege of officiating at her marriage to Hank at St. Michael's, Waterloo.
She always had a smile and kind word. Her life was full of goodness.
