Obituary of Duncan Ramsay Winhold

Dunc Winhold of Waterloo, died quietly on Friday, March 16, 2018 at his home at Chartwell Westmount Retirement Home, Kitchener.

He was born on November 2, 1932 in Brantford, Ontario.  He was married to Harriet Lorraine Winhold (nee James) in June, 1957.  Harriet passed away in May, 2016.

He will be truly missed by his two children, Scott Winhold of London and Gail Winhold of Toronto and his brother John Winhold of Troy, NY.

Dunc worked for Mutual Life (now Sun Life Financial) for his entire career.  He was a dedicated husband and father who loved his family and friends.  He was an actuary with a passion for numbers and investments but more importantly for family, golf and gardening.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Dunc with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m.  The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Mark Lewis officiating.  A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Room.
