John and I have been friends for almost 30 years. He loved the Antique and Classic Boat club, and helped me with our annual show in Gravenhurst for all those years. He is deeply missed by myself, and I am sure by all of those he came into contact within our organization.
We never had a harsh word, and he always had time to ask how I was doing....as well as my wife, and our dog Solo. I visited John in the last few weeks, and as hard as it was to leave, he was more concerned about the traffic for me going back to Port Perry.
To the family and friends, my condolences, but what a difference life would have been without having John in it. Wayne

John and I grew up together in Leamington,Ontario and we both went to the Leamington High School where we both we involved in the school football team. John we a good player. We were buddies and enjoyed each other's company. He was popular with the guys and girls and he always drove his Pontiac convertibles which we all admired. When I was going to school in Toronto John often came over for a visit. John was a very good, honest and reliable friend. I will certainly miss him now that he has passed on.

I worked with John on Highland Rd Canadian Tire. He gave me my start in the automotive industry and was a great mentor. He always made time for a phone call or a coffee. My mother-in-law has many stories of John back at Forbes as well. He was great friend and will be missed. Condolences to Joline and the family.

Condolences to John's family. I was a tire installer at Highland Road Canadian Tire when it first opened. John was a very influential figure in my life, most notably on how to treat customers and foster camaraderie among co-workers.

I had the pleasure of working with John at Canadian Tire on Highland Road in Kitchener in the late 80's. He came to visit me out at the GM dealership in New Hamburg in his retirement years. He was an inspiration and mentor to me and will be truly missed.

I'm so sorry for this loss! I worked at Canadian Tire Dixie and Dundas as an automotive technician for many years with John. He was like a second Dad to me. He was the best service manager I ever worked with. Helpful, sympathetic, just all around super nice guy! He was the reason I moved to Kitchener! He offered a position for me so I moved from Mississauga to Kitchener. Have been here ever since. John did a lot for me and I am so appreciate what he did to make my life better. I will miss him greatly! He's a guy I just won't ever forget!
My deepest condolences to your family. Please take care and thank you.

Dear Joline,
I was saddened and shocked to hear of John's passing. It doesn't seem that long ago that I sat with John at Probus. I have many happy memories of John when we worked together at Forbes. He was a great friend.
My heart and thoughts go out to you and your family at this time.
