Obituary of John Arthur Freund

Passed away peacefully on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Grand River Hospital Freeport Campus, Kitchener at the age of 82.

 

Survived by and deeply missed by his wife Joline, daughter Sherry (Christian) and son Jeffrey (Martha) and grandchildren Maddy and Sean.

 

John was a graduate of General Motors Institute (Flint, Michigan USA) in 1958. He was an employee of Forbes Motors for 23 years and the Service Manager at many Canadian Tire Stores for 17 years. He was the Founder of the Golden Triangle Marine Modellers of K-W. He built and raced many radio-controlled model boats in World Championships in South Africa, England and the USA. John was also a member of the Probus Club of Kitchener- Waterloo.

To honour John’s wishes cremation has taken place with a private family gathering at a later date.
