To My Dear Karen: My sincere condolences to you, Sarah, Anthony and Jacob, Rachael, Mallory and Mackenzie, Leah and Ryan. Mike was such a good man. He loved his boat, walking Coco and maybe the odd martini. But most of all he loved his family. His quiet humour will not be forgotten. We all are better people for having known him.
Good bye "Mike". XXOO

The sorrow I feel for Mike's passing, robs me of words to adequately express all that is in my heart. There is a deep sadness at the loss of a good friend for half a century, but also relief that he is at peace and suffers no more. There is confidence that this good man is now rewarded for his kindness and generosity throughout life. There is great compassion for the loved ones he leaves behind, whose pain must far exceed my own, but he raised strong daughters and chose Karen, my best friend, as his life partner. She also possesses that resilient
core of character that will sustain her in the difficult times ahead, with the support of family and friends. In time, the pain of loss will lessen and good memories will return, to make us smile or laugh again. Mike would want it that way. If I have one true regret, right now, it is that time and distance prevents me from being there to honor him, to comfort Karen and help somehow. God bless you all!
