My sincere condolences to all of you- Aunt Selma, Phil and Lori ,Albert and Melinda, Brian and Verena and families.
Although my contacts with Uncle Gary were infrequent due to distance, I remember him as a gentle, soft spoken , and always smiling man who eagerly shared words of wisdom and descriptive stories. He stood tall and strong in his Christian faith and has assuredly attained his heavenly goal . May this serve as a source of peace and comfort for you all. My prayers are with you.

Selma and family, our deepest sympathy in your sorrow at this time.
Remembering ... Gary was a remarkable person. His greetings when we met were always welcoming, almost effusively so, but expressed with warmth; giving the impression, with integrity, that we were real friends. And his questions, there were always some, penetrating and insightful reflecting a person well-read and thoughtful in any discussion that followed. And he was practical, not a head-in-the-clouds kind of person but feet firmly planted on the surface of real life. And he demonstrated a firm commitment to Jesus’ teaching in both his personal and professional life.
A rare individual; he will be missed.

Dear Aunt Selma, Philip, Albert, Brian & families...
Just want to send a big hug to all of you as you go through this difficult time. So many memories of family trips to Elmira and your family's visits to our farm in Manitoba. I even remember one of those memorable hard-top camper trips with all of you to Banff when I was a child. Uncle Gary will be missed! He always had a smile on his face and a hug ready whenever I saw him. He was genuine and so enjoyed a good visit. I'll cherish all of my memories of him. May you feel God's loving arms around each one of you as you grieve...

Albert, what an incredible person your father was. After reading about his life, we were struck by how he gave so much to others- his incredibly helping spirit, his positive attitude, his devotion to all his grandchildren, the many ways he showed his Christianity in his life. What a special person your dad was.Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I have known “Mr. Enns” for nearly half a century. His eldest son Phil and I have been friends since our early childhood. Gary always had a positive comment for everyone. He lived to build up others. As a young boy I would often spend the night at the Enns home, as it was a long journey from my home in Kitchener. L.O.L.
A humorous memory I have from way back then demonstrates how Gary liked to experience the unique things in life. As a young child Phil told me his father had a fondness for Limburger cheese. Phil told me the family would force him to eat the cheese in isolation as they could not tolerate the infamous smell of the cheese.
To this day I have lived in fear of Limburger cheese and have never experienced it. Perhaps I should finally try some, as a unique way to honour the “Mr. Enns” I first met in my early childhood.

I have many fond memories of hanging out at the Enns’ house. I also felt the love and support from Gary when I made my decision to be baptized. I will keep the entire Enns family in my prayers. May the God of love and peace surround you with hope.
