To the whole Fedy family please accept my condolences on the loss of such a wonderful Son and Brother. My heart grieves with you.
The news of my first and best friend's passing was a blow. Mike and I were best of friends as children. We met at age 3 and were natural buddies from day one. We shared most of the boyhood adventures and fun that young boys do. Playing in the woods was a favorite. All of our tools and gear strapped on we set out to concur the forest. Swimming, YMCA, North Bay cottaging, Saturday afternoon movies downtown, Birthdays parties, Family dinners with Arlene and the Girls, Family dinners with my parents, Vacation at Sauble Beach, Fatherly hunting adventures with Jim, Niagara Falls fun, Dirt biking at the farm, Swimming in Nippissing in almost freezing water for hours, Motorcycling and a wonderful trip in my first car to North bay and Ottawa. These are only a few of the treasured memories of my friendship with Mike. My dear friend ! The brother I never had.
During our teenage years Mike struggled. He was a brave and strong fellow. I wish I could of been of more help. Things were tough for Mike. Then as we entered mid life Mike began to know my kids and they loved him as he was so good with them. They loved the gentle nature he had about him. He was a natural with my kids. Then things changed for us and we lost touch. Life got busy and I didn't spend the time with him I wished I would have. I guess we all too often take life and people for granted.
So my dearest Michael please rest in peace and enjoy the freedom God will allow you now. You deserve that Mike. I know you will sit by God's side and feel peace.
Till we meet again ....your life long friend
Steve

I extend my deepest sympathy to all the family members of Michael. I did not have the privilege of meeting Michael in person, but on several occasions I was able to share a 3-way phone chat with Dani and Michael. His kind gentle manner was evident during those conversations.
The most recent one was last summer when Dani taught Michael a little song, which they sang back and forth to each other. "When I rise, I will rise...like a bird...joyfully. When I fall, I will fall...like a leaf...gracefully. Michael's deep voice plus Dani's sweeter tones blended beautifully, it was a tender and tearful moment that I felt privileged to share. I do know that Michael was well-supported and deeply loved by all of his family members, and will be sadly missed. May his memory live on in your hearts and his gentle spirit be close to each one of you forever. Much love to all of you.

My deepest condolence to you all, Mike’s family. Although he does not know me, I know of him through my late husband Dr. Tom Liu.
Many of his patients share my grief atTom’s passing, because he considered his patients/friends as his second family.
I join you with your grief at losing Mike at such an early age. Luckily, our Catholic faith helps us to know that he is now with his Creator.
“ Eternal rest grant unto him o Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him“

Dear Arlene, Jim and Family
Michael was like second son as he and Steve grew up together. Always polite, always respectful. A dear person to be around. From their first days together at 3 years of age at Monterey and Plaza Court, they were the best of buddies. Essentially the brother they both never had. Both boys welcomed into each family as if their own. Wonderful memories. So many great times together. Steve always wanted to included Mike and we enjoyed every minute of it.
My heart goes out to all the Fedy family in this tragic and utmost of sad circumstances. Please find comfort in knowing he is with God and enjoying peaceful bliss in heaven.
It seems impossible now but in time the memories will be wonderful.
God Bless you all.

Mike is a true hero. He endured many challenges with a gentle courage. He demanded so little and offered so much. And he taught others that love can be inconvenient and painful. And still, Michael was loved so very deeply. Way to go Mike - you have lived a successful life!

I am so shocked and saddened by Michael's passing. I have so many fond memories of Michael growing up. He was more of a big brother to me than a cousin. Memories of playing cards at the kitchen table with Mom and Aunt Carole, Trivial Pursuit, coffee and Michael's signature burnt toast with peanut butter! Michael loved homemade apple pie with a slice of old cheddar cheese on top (something that I just couldn't fathom!) He was a foodie before the phrase even existed!
Michael loved those around him deeply. He was generous, kind and a gentle soul. He tolerated my questionable music tastes in the early 80's when I had music blasting and the squawking of my clarinet as I was learning to play. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and was so loving and tolerant.
"In these bodies we will live. In these bodies we will die. Where you invest your love, you invest your life."
Michael invested his love and his life to those dear to him. We will forever be left with giant holes in our hearts, but our souls will be filled with our memories of Michael.

I am extremely saddened to hear the passing of Michael, my deepest sympathies to Mr. & Mrs. Fedy, Danielle, Cathy and Karen. I remember Mike as a kind & gentle soul, though it has been many many years that have passed since seeing him, I am sure those great qualities he possessed back in those days flourished and radiated to all those around him. Though words are useless in this time of pain, I could only hope your breaking hearts which are suffering an immeasurable loss can find strength and comfort in your faith and treasured memories that will remain forever……Rest peacefully Mike
