Obituary of Melba Erlene Farrell

February 5, 1919 - February 14, 2019

 

Peacefully, on February 14, 2019 at the age of 100, following a short illness.

 

Melba is survived by her son Ronald (Jane) of Perth (ON), and daughters-in-law Audrey of Oakville (ON) and Laurie of Burlington (ON). She is also survived by grandchildren Jamie, Shannon (Alex Binotto), Chris (Sue), Tim (Christin) and Jeff (Melissa Legault), as well as great-grandchildren Joshua, Zachary, Ciara, Liam, Shaun, Hannah and Ellie.

 

Melba was born in Waldron (SK) on February 5, 1919. She was predeceased by her husband Shaun, daughter Barbara and son Michael.

 

Always cheerful and a great conversationalist, Melba led a long, rich and rewarding life. She captivated family, friends and others she met with her engaging personality, vast knowledge and quick wit. She saw the good in people and got the most out of every occasion, whether large or small.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
