Frank was easily one of my favourite people, ever. He and Betty moved in next door to my family when I was quite young and their kindness, generosity, and contagious smiles made for fast and lasting friends.
I remember growing up, Frank and Betty would always have a special Halloween treat from my brother, Jeff, and me. We'd ring on their bell, they'd invite us in, we'd chat and laugh and then they'd give us something full-sized (or over sized!). It made us feel really special.
Then when I got older and moved away to go to school in Ottawa, they still found ways to make me feel special. I remember on more than one occasion heading to my car in the morning after a visit home and there would be a note and a five dollar bill tucked under my windshield wiper. "By yourself a treat on the way back to Ottawa - Frank".
For the last few years, Frank and I have been pen pals. I would beam any time I checked the mail and saw that I had a note from my favourite neighbour. I have kept every letter he's mailed me and will cherish them for years to come.
I know he'll be missed by many - myself and my family included.

So glad we were able to have a happy, long, laughing and reminicing visit a few weeks ago (what a party). Our girls always called him the chocolate bar man. My sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Frank’s Family at this time of loss.
I had the privilege to have known Frank both as a friend and as an associate for many years. He was the best mentor and coach, a person could have wished for. Franks inquisitive and imaginative approach made him a well-known and valued contributor to the baking industry. An industry that loved and admired him, both here in Canada and abroad.
Frank will be sadly missed, but we will always hold and cherish the fond and happy memories of his time with us.
Unfortunately Pam and I wiil not be able to attend the funeral as we are out of country.
God’s blessing’s be with you Frank,
Robert Wettlaufer

I worked with Frank from 1980-1985. He was one of the kindest men I have ever known. The love for his family showed in his eyes everytime he spoke of them...he was so proud!! I feel blessed to have had the privilege of knowing him and calling him my friend...I received a birthday card and a phone call from him every year, and loved our conversations. I am going to miss his smile and laughter! My heartfelt condolences to his family. He was a special man!!

I worked with Frank for 20 years. He was the most generous and loving man. Everyone he met became a friend. He found the perfect balance for work and family. His love of family was always evident. He worked hard at keeping up with work friends into retirement. My condolences to his lovely family who will miss him dearly, but have many, many happy memories to cherish. God be with you Frank. Give my best to Betty.
All my love
