I'm so sorry to hear of Marnie's passing, but deeply thankful that I met her.
She was a feisty champion for youth in this region, and often told me of her early involvement with the Betty Thompson Youth Center, now Safe Haven Youth Shelter at Lutherwood. (I believe she was a personal friend of Betty Thompson.) Her friends would bring Christmas presents and sometimes Christmas dinner out to the youth in the shelter, and she was connected with Lutherwood in various ways over the years.
My deepest condolences to her family and friends, and all who knew her.

Lovely Marnie.
For me, you were more than just a person, whom I worked for.For me you were an example worth imitating. I have learned a lot from you . When I was sad,you bought flowers for me, saying..flowers can fix everything, even the bad day..and so it was. Together we were laughing at everything, even from these little problems.
Any words do not express, who you have been important to me for these two years. You will always remain in my heart, you, and your wonderful family. The only consolation is that you no longer suffer. I will very much miss you.
Many condolences to her family, Cathy, Elisabeth, David, Tim, Erica, and all relatives.

When replying to a text I sent Liz earlier this week, she replied back that Marnie always thought I was a "hoot".
That may or may not be but Marnie was the Queen of Hoots. Her tenacity in all that she did, succeeded in and accomplished; her fervour to see the better side of things; her generosity; her grit; she was a "hoot" to see, be around with and to know.
I am honored to have had the blessing of knowing her (as little as I may have actually spent physical time with her, she had that affect). She rocked the "hoot" out of life.
She passed that "hoot" onto her kids (along with a lot of Bill's "hootiness"); so Marnie and Bill will always be around in some sense vicariously via their children. And that's a great thing.
Much love to the Wharnsby kids.
To the Queen of Hoots! You will always be a "hoot".

Our condolences to the Wharnsby family, we were saddened to hear of Marnie's passing. I will cherish the good memories of all those Christmases at the Wharsnby house in Waterloo. I don't think that I remember seeing Marnie without a smile, and she obviously had the right attitude in life, with her perseverance through some tough times. That is a life to be celebrated, and proud of.

Dear Tim, Kathy and the entire Wharnsby Family:
I am so incredibly saddened to learn of your dear mother's passing. There are never enough words to convey the deepest of condolences especially when we lose someone so dear to us. There's a special connection with our Moms. They gave us life and nurtured us alongside our fathers. I know first-hand the feeling of losing both parents and there are so many emotions and memories. Take the time to mourn, to grieve, to heal and to celebrate the wonderful woman she was. I pray that her rest is eternal and that she is at peace.
Heaven has gained an incredible new angel, and you have gained a new guardian angel. She will send you signs she is with you and you will feel her presence.
While I never did meet your parents Tim, I know they were salt of the earth people. I know that because they raised you and I have had the pleasure to know you for many, many years.
I will say special prayers for your Mom, Dad and your entire family and friends who meant so much to them and will also light a candle at church this weekend. Sending you comforting hugs,
Karen Rossetti
