My deepest sympathies to the family. I had Mr Chambers as a principal at King Edward School. He was great! Always made you feel important. He made sure to know all students, and years later he still remembered you. Sending prayers for the family

A great lady said that people may not remember what you did or what you said but they WILL remember how you made them feel. I had Mr. C for grade six and that would have been 1957-58. I have absolutely no memory of what he said or what he did; just how he made me feel. And that is what really counts, isn't it? After spending a year with him, becoming a teacher was an option I thought about after that. Whatever skills he had should have been bottled and used in every class in teachers' college.

Mr. Chambers was my grade six teacher (and principal). School was a scary place for me, but he made it better. I am sure many, many others remember him fondly too. Years later I heard he was "in business" with my former boss at UW -- Clem Sochasky. That made me smile too. I am sure he leaves a hole in the fabric of your family.
