Obituary of Katherine Ann Krueger

Kathy passed away peacefully, with family by her side at Sunnyside Home, Kitchener, on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the age of 68.

Kathy graduated as a nurse and worked in the maternity ward of Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital (now Grand River Hospital) for over thirty-five years. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Music, animals and travelling were her passions. She always had a happy smile and a twinkle in her blue eyes!

Predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Helen (McDonald) Krueger. Kathy will be deeply missed by her longtime loving companion, Joe Gorgerat, aunts Beatrice Tait, Doris Woods, uncle Roy (Mary) Krueger, by her Tait cousins Diane, Robert, Jim and family, her Krueger and McDonald cousins as well as many other extended family members. She’ll also be missed by her many nursing and other friends.

Special thanks to Sunnyside, Castle Kilbride staff and special caregivers, in particular Jerusalem, for her care and compassion. 

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 3:00 - 4:00 pm.  A service to celebrate Kathy’s life will take place at 4:00 pm followed by a reception in the Historic Kuntz House. Cremation will have taken place and interment will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.  Kathy loved colorful clothing! The family requests for all to wear cheerful colours in remembrance of Kathy.
