Obituary of Denis Theroux

Surrounded by family and loved ones including his church family after hearing some of his favourite hymns, Denis went to sleep peacefully awaiting his Lord and Saviour at Innisfree House in Kitchener on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the age of 82.

Beloved husband of Marguerite for 61 years.  Loving father of Denise Lamming and husband Dean, Richard Theroux and wife Debbie, Gerald Theroux and wife Carmela, and Michael Theroux and wife Tanya.  Much loved grandfather of Cory (Rachel), Christina (Matt), Ryan (Nicole), Richard (Trina), Daniel (Tristyn), Justin, Jared, Griffin and Dylan and seven great-grandchildren.  Survived by his sister Florence Warren.

Predeceased by his infant daughter Marie.

Denis was a strong man of faith and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Kitchener where he served as an Elder.  His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him with his valiant battle with cancer and ultimately gave him peace.

Denis was a good man. The longer you knew him, the more you realized how remarkable a man he was with an unwavering devotion to his family, a loyal friend, a faithful servant to God and his church, and how available he was to literally anyone who needed help.

The family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 12 noon - 1 p.m.  A memorial service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m.
